Abstract

Sumbangan tokoh-tokoh terdahulu dalam pendidikan asas yang berpendidikan dari universiti Timur Tengah dan fasih berbahasa Arab telah lama memberi kesan positif terhadap pendidikan bahasa Arab. Namun, masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan yang perlu ditangani agar pendidikan bahasa ini berkembang dengan lebih meluas dan mendapat tempat di hati masyarakat Malaysia khususnya. Oleh itu, kajian ini ingin melihat sumbangan alumni universiti Timur Tengah dalam perkembangan bahasa Arab di Malaysia. Kajian ini merupakan kajian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif sepenuhnya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui temu bual dan analisis dokumen. 6 orang responden dalam kalangan pensyarah Fakulti Pengajian Islam, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi telah dipilih berdasarkan ciri-ciri yang ditetapkan. Menerusi kajian ini, hasil dapatan mendapati sumbangan yang diberikan oleh tokoh-tokoh ini merangkumi banyak aspek tidak kira sama ada di dalam atau di luar kuliah. Antaranya ialah terlibat dalam program-program bahasa Arab, bengkel, seminar, penterjemahan, penciptaan aplikasi dan penerbitan. Mereka ini mendedahkan teknik pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa Arab dengan pelbagai metode yang memudahkan masyarakat menerimanya sekaligus menghasilkan pengajian yang bermutu.

The contribution of previous figures in basic education who were educated from Middle Eastern universities and fluent in Arabic has long had a positive impact on Arabic language education. However, there are still some shortcomings that need to be addressed in order for this language education to develop more widely and gain a place in the hearts of the Malaysian community in particular. Therefore, this study wants to see the contribution of Middle Eastern university alumni in the development of the Arabic language in Malaysia. This study is a study using a completely qualitative approach. Data collection is done through interviews and document analysis. 6 respondents among the lecturers of the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi were selected based on the specified characteristics. Through this study, the findings found that the contributions given by these figures include many aspects regardless of whether they are inside or outside the lecture. Among them is being involved in Arabic language programs, workshops, seminars, translation, application creation and publishing. They reveal the teaching and learning techniques of the Arabic language with various methods that make it easier for the community to accept it as well as produce quality studies.
